Sensors
Grundfos Direct Sensors™ is an endeavour started by the Grundfos Group in 1990 with the desire to have pumps controlled by means of a differential pressure sensor for higher energy efficiency.
During development, the opportunity for more than just integration or measuring dP across the pump evolved. That is why today, Direct Sensors™ stands for direct media contact sensors and transmitters able to measure flow, relative pressure, differential pressure and temperature. Our products are either sold stand alone or integrated into our pump offerings and pumping solutions (Magna 3, TPE 2000, Pressure Manager 2, etc.)
Our trademark signature is the ability to measure 2in1: flow, pressure or differential pressure combined with temperature by means of one sensor as well. Currently our product classes cover the entire range of needed products, from the established OEM 2in1 versions sensors (VFS, RPS, DPS), to our new class of Industrial transmitters (VFI, RPI, DPI).
